How to install RED5 on a serverThe steps for installing RED5 are as follows: 1. Install Java – JDK and JRE * For installing Java JDK and JRE, we can use the RPM. Visit the link “http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp”. * Setup the environment variables to include the path for java. 2. Install Apache ant wget http://apache.mirror.transip.nl/ant/binaries/apache-ant-1.7.0-bin.tar.gz * Setup the environment variables to include the path for Apache ant. 3. Now download and install RED5. wget http://dl.fancycode.com/red5/0.6.3/src/red5-0.6.3.tar.gz cd red5 4. Now the directory “dist” contains compiled files and ready to run the server cd dist * RED5 should now run http server on port 5080 and rtmp service on port 1935 5. hello, plz help.
i use ubuntu 8.10.
I used apt-get to install jre and ant server.
the ant build is successful
but the ant prepare not = [
iceoz@ubserv:~/red5$ ant build
Buildfile: build.xml
[echo] java.home is /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.10/jre and the target version is 1.6
BUILD FAILED
Target “build” does not exist in the project “RED5″.
Cool thanks, but where there’s all those codes like:
export JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/
Go? Do you use command prompt?
Thoses codes are environment variables and some linux version’s are declared in the file “profile” located in /etc directory.

I would need some help to install Red5 on my server, I spent too much time on it already and I don“t know what to do..
I would like to offer $ 80 to anyone who could do a sharing screen cession to guide me on how to install it.
I am sure there is something small I am missing..
