Reset Default Lxadmin Password via commandline/backend

Sometimes when you intially setup , you can have problems resetting it from default.  To get around this can you can do the following:

1. Login via SSH to your VPS.

2. Run:

cd /usr/local/lxlabs//httpdocs

3. Then run:

/usr/bin/lphp.exe  ../bin/common/resetpassword.php master <your-new-password>

lxadmin Error: sh: vgdisplay: command not found

Error:

sh: vgdisplay: command not found

If you are receiving this, its probably due to the hostname being set to something which is causing a problem, so do the following to fix:

hostname temp.domain.com
cd /usr/local/lxlabs//httpdocs/
lphp.exe ../bin/update.php

Reset lxadmin password

To reset the password, do the following steps:

1. First you want to restart service from the back end.

/etc/init.d/ restart

2. Now go to the password reset page, and give the new password. Click update all.

If is not restarted before changing the password, it won’t get reset.

lxadmin password not applying in HyperVM

If you get the following error in when running run the the command “/script/upcp” , reboot the VPS and try once again :)

  Your password is now set as a generic password which constitutes a grave security threat. Please change it immediately by  clicking here.”
