Search Box

Buttons, images and banners
- You can have as many buttons/banners on your toolbar. Each button can have a menu that pop-ups when the button is clicked. Alternatively clicking on a button can take your users to a predefined web page.

Catcher for Explorer address bar and DNS catcher
- With our toolbars you can use the advantages of a built-in address bar and DNS catcher. We can configure it so that if a user mistypes a URL they will be redirected to YOUR page instead of the standard Internet Explorer DNS error page. We can also configure the toolbar so that whenever the user enters a word into their Internet Explorer address bar they get redirected to your page

Catch searches on different engines
- You can catch the searches that the user makes on different search engines so that the keywords they were searching for (e.g. on Google or Yahoo) will automatically be substituted into the search box of your toolbar. It will take a single click on the toolbar to search using your toolbar for the same keywords.

Custom Toolbar Skin
- We can set a custom skin (background) for your toolbar. You can also set Internet Explorer's skin too! It works as simple as: installing the toolbar (automatically), then Internet Explorer's skin automatically changes to your corporate background. You can choose any picture for your toolbar's skin.

Launch external applications
- It is possible to run an external application from a button or menu item in the toolbar. You can run system commands, open Notepad to edit a file. You can even distribute .EXE applications with the toolbar and launch them, passing the keywords or URLs into command line.

Mini Web page
- We can put a mini web page on your toolbar. This opens the door to unlimited toolbar content. Using this you can put notifications, banners, animations and sounds into your toolbar. You can put a page directly on a toolbar (BANNER feature) or as a minipage that opens up when the user clicks a button in a toolbar (BUBBLE feature).

User customization
- Allow your users to customize the toolbar in a number of ways, including:

- Define which buttons they want to have on the toolbar
- Open a new window to display results each time they search
- Auto Complete
- Keep a search history in a drop-down list under the search box
- Automatically run a search when they select from the search history
- Run Search Drag Automatically
- Update toolbar automatically

Also your users can set their own preferences:
- Whether they want text explanations for the buttons or only icons.
- Select the width of the text box.
- Select the colors for the menu, and font used in toolbar menus.

Dynamic menu content
- Menus and submenus can be created from the output of server side scripts (like PHP, Perl CGI or ASP). This could be your "Top 10 items", "hot list", "more search results" and so on.
You can specify what buttons the toolbar will have and what menu contents to show based on either the current URL opened in the browser or unique TOOLBAR ID.
TOOLBAR ID can be used to individualize appearance and features to your toolbar customers.
You can also have multiple toolbar configurations for a single toolbar, one for logged in users and another for those who is not logged in.

Menu customization
- Users can access important sections of your Web site quickly and simply by using a drop-down menu on the toolbar.

Custom menu styles
- We can set custom Menu styles, including color scheme, skin, font style, etc.

Hot icons / rollover effect

Automatic toolbar upgrade
- For convenience, Advanced package Toolbar is automatically upgradeable! This means that all installed versions of your toolbar will be updated automatically from your site when a new version appears.

- Once downloaded the toolbar gets installed automatically and is integrated into the user's browser.

Upgrade feature
- For your user's convenience, Toolbar is upgradeable. This means that your users will be able to download and install a new version of the Toolbar when additional features or functionality are made available. You can link this feature to any menu item or button in your toolbar. After successful upgrade of the toolbar the user will be redirected to a page that can be defined in configuration file.

Automatic Upgrade
- The Toolbar can check automatically for upgrades. This check is performed when a browser is started or periodically. If a newer version is available from your website the toolbar will offer users the option to download and install the latest version.

Clear search history
- The Toolbar remembers a user's recent search history. The recent searches can be accessed by clicking the down arrow to the right of the search box. A "Clear Search History" option allows your customers to clear the history on the search box.

Clear cookies / clear history
- The Toolbar can clear the cookies and cache of the browser thus allowing your users to maintain their privacy. You can associate this feature with any menu item or button in your toolbar.

About box
- When the user selects the "about" item in the menu the popup window will show the latest Toolbar version information and your company details.

Distribute additional files with your toolbar
- You can distribute static HTML pages, Music, Flash and even executable programs (.EXE) with your toolbar. Integrate your .EXE with the toolbar and provide extensive functionality to toolbar users.

Additional visual elements for your toolbar
- With Dynamic IE toolbar builder you can add select-style combo boxes to your toolbar, add static texts and buttons with custom graphics. Menu elements can have custom styles including the menu background color and color for menu texts. You can also specify colors used for highlighting of menu items. If the toolbar does not fully fit on the users desktop, they will still be able to access the functionality of buttons and menu items by clicking on a double arrow button and selecting the appropriate element from the pop-up menu.

Uninstall feature
- The advanced package has an "Uninstall" feature included that allows your users to uninstall the toolbar simply by clicking an "Uninstall " link in the menu.
