How long does it take to setup an account at Crucial Paradigm?
Once payment is received your account is typically activated within 24-48 hours. Although this can take slighty longer if ordered over the weekend.
Who do I contact in case I have a billing problem?

What control panel is offered with our hosting packages?
All sites come with cPanel, you can find more information on cPanel » here
Windows packages use the Plesk Control Panel.
How do I log into my control panel (cPanel)?
Go to » your ip/cpanel. Or you can access it by typing http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel. Either way will enable you to login into your control panel.
I have been notified that my account is set up, but my site is still not active?
If it has been more than 48 hours and you are still not able to access your website then check that you pointed your site to the right DNS server. If the problem is still persisting it is probably that your ISP's DNS servers have not updated yet.
What DNS should my domain name be pointed to?
Your email will detail which of our DNS servers you should point your domain to. You will be told in your welcome letter which nameservers to use.
Can I get a dedicated IP address?
Yes, we do offer IP addresses, although we do follow » ARIN guidelines. Most of the time you will be granted an IP address if you are going to use SSL or you are a reseller and require your own Private Name Servers. If you are able to justify your use of an IP address then you will be billed an extra US$3/month.
What connections are our servers connected to?

Does email or FTP traffic count towards my bandwidth limit?
Yes, all incoming/outgoing traffic counts towards your limit.
What happens if I exceed my allotted bandwidth allowance?
Once you exceed you limit your account will be suspended. You can keep track of your bandwidth usage through cPanel.
Can I edit MySQL database tables without creating applications?
Yes, you can use phpMyAdmin included in cPanel to edit MySQL tables.
Do you support CGI/Perl Scripts?
Yes, every site comes with its own CGI-BIN which allows you to run your own Perl scripts.
Do you support PHP?
Yes, we support PHP and MySQL.
Do you support webmail?
Yes, we support webmail. You can login into your webmail using: http://www.yourdomain.com/webmail/ Please include your full email address as the user name. You have the choice of using Horde, Neomail, or SquirrellMail.
Will you place ads on my site?
No, we do not place any forms of advertising on your website.
Will I be able to send and receive email through Crucial Paradigm?
Yes, you can both send and receive mail through our servers. We provide both POP3 and STMP capabilities, details will be provided in your sign up email.

How do I place an order?
You can place an order via our Help Center, please include which package as well as any addons you wish to receive with the server. You will receive a quote and sign up link in response to the support ticket you submit.
What methods of payment do you accept?
If you are located in Australia, we accept direct deposit. For all other users we accept Credit Cards, and PayPal. If you have further questions regarding payment methods please » submit a billing inquiry.
Can I pay for my server using my PayPal account?
Yes you may use your PayPal account, but please contact us via the» Help Center before making the payment.
Will Crucial Paradigm transfer a domain for me?
We do not transfer domains for you. You must point the domain name at the name server included in your server configuration. We do register domains for you at a cost of US$11.95 (.com, .net, .org) or AU$79.95 (2yrs, .com.au, .net.au, and .org.au).
What software comes installed with the server?
Your choice of Operating System (Windows Server 2003, Linux, etc). If you wish to have any additional software installed on your server please just type in your request in via a sales ticket.
When will my server be ready?
Our general turn around time is 3-5 business days after your order has been placed and verified.
Do you offer backup solutions?
Yes we do backup solutions starting at $15/month for 10GB. Higher storage is available, please specify this when requesting a quote and it will be included in your quote.
Can I send you hardware to add to my server?
No, we do not allow customers to add their own hardware to the dedicated servers.
How do I upgrade to a 100Mbps port if I am an existing customer?
Contact us at via the » Sales Desk and ask for an upgrade. New customers can request one when signing up for a new server.
Can I connect more than one server to have my own little network?
Yes, you can connect more than one server. You connect two servers with a cross connect cable, or you can connect multiple server with a switch.
How much is a switch?
An 8 port switch is $100/month. You must rent the switch from us, you cannot send us your own.
Do I have root access to my server? Can I install my software after the server is online?
You have root access to your server and you may install any software you wish on the server. Please note that outside third party software is not supported by our technical support team.
If I cancel my server do I get a refund?
No, we do not offer refunds for prepaid services. If you wish to cancel your server you will need to do so before your next billing cycle.
What are your network connections?
No other network in the industry competes with Crucial Paradigm. We dare you to compare the quality of our network and carriers to those in the industry. We have joined eight (10) different Tier one backbone providers together to form the best network infrastructure in the industry. If you want the lowest ping times, lowest latency, and best redundancy available, host with us. Our backbone border routers are Juniper M20's and our fully redundant switching layer comprises a certified six pack design of Cisco 6500 series switches. All customer access switches in the data center, and there are hundreds of them, are Cisco 2950 series switches designed for maximum performance and uptime availability. Our current backbone provider list running the BGP4 protocol is listed below.

Yes, we have onsite personnel 24/7/365 for reboots and assistance with your server.
What is the charge for going over your allotted bandwidth?
The for bandwidth overage is $2.00/GB.
Do you have cPanel available on your servers?
Yes cPanel and WHM are available for most Linux distributions.
Do you have a control panel solution for Windows?
Yes, Helm is available for Windows.
Can I resell hosting from my server?
Yes, you can resell hosting from your server using WHM or Helm.
Can I purchase RAM or hard drives and have you install it in the server?
No, all hardware components of our rented servers are property of Crucial Paradigm. If you wish to have an upgrade you will rent the hardware from Crucial Paradigm and we will install it.
Do you allow Adult Content on your servers?
Yes, legal adult content is allowed on our servers.
Do you allow IRC services on your servers ?
No, we do not allow any type of IRC services on our network.
Can I get a custom configuration in the setup of my server?
Yes, just put your special instructions in the comments section of the signup form.
How many mail accounts can I create on my server?
You can create as many mail accounts as you need, you can also setup auto-responders, forwarding, aliasing, and any other mail services.
Do I need an IP for each domain on my server?
You do not need an IP for each domain on your server; in fact, you only need one IP for the entire server.
Can I get additional IP addresses?
Yes you may get additional IP addresses, please » contact us and we can let you know the pricing depending on how many IP addresses you require. All IP addresses have to justified to ARIN.
